IPS offers a variety of standard and custom lengths and leg configurations. Whether you need a 3” piece to protect against metal banding or a 12’ long edge protector to run the length of a pallet, IPS is the source for you. IPS can provide edge protection printed with your company information. Caliper thicknesses available range from .060”-.500”.
Edge protectors, commonly referred to as “V” board, are available in corrugated, fiberboard (with a gap that allows it to store flat) and the standard, wrapped V. Laminating recycled paperboard into a rigid right angle shape normally produces edge protectors.
Ordering Edge Protectors:
Key information required for ordering edge protectors are leg length, the caliper (thickness) and the board length.
IPS makes the following recommendations:
· Where edge protection is used for vertical stacking strength, we recommend a 2.5” x 2.5” x .225 caliper edge protector.
· Where lengths of edge protection are used horizontally, along the top edges of a package, we recommend a 2” x 3” or 2” x 4” edge protector with the longer leg resting on top of the package.
